Wisconsin had 58 yards passing and only 200 yards of offense and still won by 17 points.

SendCutSend operates factories full of machines that cut, bend and shape metal into custom parts. We’re talking objects for people trying to modify their cars right on up to the key components of rockets, robots and defense equipment. Many of SendCutSend’s more than 300,000 customers were turning to China for this type of work until Belosic, who founded the company in 2018, figured out how to make lots of metal parts well, fast and cheap and offered an option right in the United States. As such, SendCutSend and Belosic have become key players in America’s effort to learn how to manufacture things again, although playing a part in a national movement was never really Belosic’s intention.

MUMPS was written at Massachusetts General Hospital 60 years ago. It still runs under some of the largest record systems in medicine. This series asked whether a modern language would serve us better in building and maintaining records that are safe, effective, and efficient. I could not find a single study that compares MUMPS with a modern alternative on safety, defects, cost, or speed.

Members of Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas overwhelmingly voted on Oct. 25-26 to leave The United Methodist Church. Of the 4,775 votes cast, 90.35% voted to “sever all of its ties, affiliations, and connections to The United Methodist Church,” according to a letter sent to Highland Park members on Oct. 26.

…. health care productivity varies substantially across providers; improving it requires better understanding of why productivity differs.

That deployment speed has become a commercial advantage: customers are paying a premium for immediately available capacity in large, tightly interconnected GPU clusters, with SpaceX reporting pricing slightly above $50 per watt annually for short-duration contracts. At current pricing, the company says, new compute deployments pay back in less than a year, and Elon Musk has suggested payback could shorten to six months in 2027.

Residents were asked to leave the ship, disembarking in Cambodia. “It was a cascade of problems piling up on one another, from the business model to mistakes by management to the mentioned crisis in fuel cost and availability, and more,” said a post on ResidentialCruising.com, by Randy Cassingham, a resident aboard.

Surprise firmware updates for DJI’s older drones are great news for owners – but why is it happening?

THE ARCHITECT LOUIS KAHN once remarked that any architect working in brick “must ask the brick what it wants.” Nowhere in the world has the humble building material replied with loftier desires than Iran. The country has, for thousands of years, been a center for some of the most extraordinary brickwork in the world. In the eighteenth century, travelers from Europe marveled at Iran’s monumental edifices, filling the pages of their travelogues with descriptions of complex arches and vaults and dazzling polychrome facades. Today, driven by another wave of Western interest, Iranian brickwork is a mainstay of social media feeds, each post a glimpse at the quotidian beauty of a country routinely associated with repression and war.

I use $5B of MacKenzie Scott’s unrestricted gifts as a natural experiment to test the hypothesis of a “nonprofit starvation cycle” caused by donation use-
restrictions. Comparing 643 recipients to similar nonrecipients with difference-in-differences, I find that recipients attracted additional donations, spent the entire gift within two years, and disbursed 20% of new spending as grants to others and 3% as executive compensation. In present value, $0.18 per dollar of the windfall was spent on executive pay. With a corporate-finance model of nonprofits maximizing charitable output subject to donation use-restrictions, the evidence casts doubt on the starvation cycle hypothesis.

The iPhone maker for years bullied flash-storage makers into steep discounts—until AI hyperscalers bid up prices and gobbled up supply

“This profession isn’t about the wins and losses. This profession is about, how do I impact this person?”

This was the baseball Bauers caught in his first baseman’s mitt upon it being thrown by Brice Turang, after the second baseman caught a ground ball that resulted from a pitch by Trevor Megill, who until he found the restorative springs of Brewers baseball was out of baseball and trying to reinvent himself by throwing against a concrete wall between cars in an underground parking garage. It was the baseball from the last out of a 4–1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays in World Series Game 5 on Wednesday that clinched the first world championship in Brewers history.

Jules Verne’s lost novel got the machines of 1960 right. He never imagined that Paris would keep its poets.

From the earliest days of our Republic, prayer and faith in Almighty God have stood as the foundation of our strength, the source of our unity, and the fount of our greatness.  This Reformation Day, I send my best wishes to the countless Christians across our country commemorating the Protestant Reformation and its enduring message of salvation by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
