The &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;q=%22southwest+effect%22&#038;btnG=Google+Search\">Southwest Effect<\/a>&#8221; is just what Madison needs: the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.southwest.com\/swatakeoff\/southwest_effect.html\">average fare decreases<\/a> and the number of passengers dramatically increases when Southwest enters a market.<br \/>\nI recently phoned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/search?hl=en&#038;ie=UTF-8&#038;q=%22gary+kelly%22+southwest+airlines&#038;btnG=Google+Search\">Gary Kelly, Southwest&#8217;s CFO<\/a> to encourage them to fly to Madison.
