Chairman Ed Whitacre expects internet firms to <a href=\"http:\/\/werbach.com\/blog\/archives\/2005\/10\/the_telco_minds.html\">pay to send content<\/a> to local customer&#8217;s homes (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.zmetro.com\/cgi-bin\/mt\/mt-search.cgi?IncludeBlogs=1&#038;search=whitacre\">that TV thinking again<\/a>).   Perhaps I&#8217;m missing something, but I&#8217;ve not seen any SBC Fibre deployed to the home.  We&#8217;re still using the copper networks, paid for by all of us, during the regulated telecommunications era.
