Halliburton is the cofounder and CEO of Sazmining, a company that operates bitcoin mining hardware on behalf of clients\u2014a model known as \u201cmining-as-a-service<\/a>.\u201d Halliburton is based in Peru, but Sazmining runs mining hardware out of third-party data centers across Norway, Paraguay, Ethiopia, and the United States. But its true moat lies precisely in having handled a lot<\/a> of the “dirty work” cleanly within the entire architecture, combined with full-stack capabilities from algorithms to systems to chips. This is also a point of inspiration for many domestic [Chinese] chips, especially in the subtle details where they balance ease of use\/programmability vs. performance. Another factor is their excellent timing in bringing architectures to market and their marketing execution.
