I don\u2019t think any construction should happen at <a href=\"https:\/\/amuz.com\/r\/na\/us\/wi\/madison\/1302_midvale\/\">1302 Midvale<\/a> in the absence of an attractive plan for the Midvale\/12-18 intersection.  <em>Cart before the horse<\/em>.  I know what that means with respect to a schedule.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>However<\/em><\/strong>\u2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is an opportunity to raise the design bar vis a vis our endless, more of the same rectangles simply designed to expand the tax base.  Further, compare 1302\u2019s  proposed height and aesthetics to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zmetro.com\/?p=12874\">Sequoya Library building<\/a>.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. I find current, nearby property assessments rather curious, placing large values on the buildings (really?) vis a vis the land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Summarize the issues.  I appreciate the long narratives that have been shared via email and social.  I suggest consolidating them along with a succinct intro on a blog\/www site, with a brief, easily shared domain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4. Get the word out: share a QR code\/link via postcards with the surrounding neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5. With respect to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityofmadison.com\/council\/district10\/blog\/2023-11-25\/new-development-1302-s-midvale-blvd\">the<\/a> developer, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legacy.com\/us\/obituaries\/journaltimes\/name\/sam-jacobsen-obituary?id=26137461\">entrepreneur Sam Jacobsen<\/a> (PDQ, Bishops Bay) had a son named Jeff.
