Bombing is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theamericanconservative.com\/to-bomb-or-not-to-bomb-iran-that-is-the-question\/\">neither a strategy nor a simple exercise in virtue signaling<\/a>. Bombing is an act of war. Bombing does not contain conflict, nor does bombing deter an opponent from future action. If anything, bombing escalates tension and leads to all-out war.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At no time in Vietnam, Laos, or Cambodia were American bombings, sea-based operations, or ground incursions truly <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.dtic.mil\/sti\/tr\/pdf\/ADA215903.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">effective in deterring enemy moves<\/a> or in preventing more and more destructive war from breaking out. The North Vietnamese simply absorbed the losses and escalated their attacks wherever U.S. forces were weakest on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outsideonline.com\/health\/training-performance\/amateur-cyclist-tour-de-france-study\/?scope=anon\">measures of fitness<\/a> are important because they allow us to make an apples-to-apples comparison of how hard the riders were pushing.
